“Gospel” means good news... And the gospel message is God’s good news for you.
Everyone at some point wonders what happens to us when our life here is over. Is it the end? Is there something more? Is there such a place as heaven, and if so, who goes there? Does hell exist?
The Bible tells us clearly that death is not the end. It calls the endless period of time after we die “eternity” and it also makes it clear that we need to prepare for that eternity right now.
The Bible also tell us that heaven does exist, and so too does hell.
Sadly, there is a common thought within our society that everyone goes to heaven for eternity, and somehow it is just those that are especially bad or evil that go to hell. This idea is not found anywhere in the Bible. Rather, the Bible explains that because we are ALL sinners, our eternal destination is hell and that if we want to change that to heaven, it is through “salvation” and the forgiveness of sins through Christ Jesus alone.

You may have passed by the Gospel Hall and noticed the banners on the side of the building.
We put the top banner there to assure you of our prayers during these unprecedented times that our nation, and indeed our world finds itself in just now.
We borrow the sentiment of Paul in Romans 10:1 “my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved”. Paul prayed for the salvation of the nation he was a part of. For many decades now the Christians who meet in the Gospel Hall have been united in praying for the village we are a part of: my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Crosshouse/Knockentiber/Gatehead is that they may be saved.
While we have always looked to God to bless in that necessary spiritual salvation of our community, we now add to our prayer list the preservation of physical well-being. The hospital on our doorstep is a stark reminder that there are many in need; we believe there is no better activity we can undertake than to pray.
We have placed another selection of banners underneath which display important verses from the Bible which tell us important truths.
Click on each of the banners to learn the key message behind each of them.
